Halo Infinite - How to Equip Helmet Attachments

This is a relatively simple process, if not a little hidden due to the fact that only certain helmets can have attachments. Further adding to the confusion, attachments are only available to their specifically assigned helmets. If you see one you really like, then I hope you also like the helmet it goes with. Attachments are not interchangeable to other helmets. Here is the process for equipping attachments, as it’s not very clearly laid out in game.

When customizing your armor, select a helmet capable of housing an attachment. When you select your helmet, you should be able to either click on “Attachments”, or use RB to highlight the option. You can then browse through the available attachments for that specific helmet. Once you have the one you like, either click “Equip” or press X to finalize your choice.

Here’s the current list of helmets that support attachments:

  • Air Assault
  • Anubis
  • Aviator
  • Cavallino
  • Commando
  • Enigma
  • EVA
  • EVA (C)
  • Grenadier
  • ISR
  • Mark V (B)
  • Mark VI
  • Mark VII
  • ODST
  • Recon
  • Scout
  • Soldier
  • Trailblazer
  • ZVESDA

Even though most Halo Infinite players know this, it’s worth repeating. Armor is only cosmetically customizable. None of these provide any additional protection or perks for having them equipped. They are merely for show and nothing else.
