Like many 2021 releases, Halo Infinite took a little bit longer than expected to hit the market. Once it did, though, gamers loved it. The title was also a critical hit, earning solid reviews and winning the Player’s Voice at the 2021 Game Awards.

With titles like Halo, gamers often rip through the game fast at first, then they want the ability to customize. 343 Industries and Xbox are happy to give them this option, though it comes at a price. And for some gamers, these prices are a little too high.

Jerry Hook, 343’s head of design, tweeted, “We’ve been monitoring the discussions on the Shop, bundles, and pricing closely since launch. Using data and community feedback, we’re going to begin rolling out changes to how we package and price items in Halo Infinite – and it all starts next week.”

The message from Hook continued:

“Starting Tuesday, the Shop experience will vary week-to-week. We are focused on reducing pricing across the board, providing stronger values in our bundles, starting to put individual items outside of bundles, and more. We will be trying new things throughout the rest of the season so that we can continue to learn and improve for the future.”

It hasn’t been revealed yet, just how much lower the prices will go. Still, gamers will want to be able to customize their experience no matter what, and a lower cost for doing so is certainly going to be well received.

Halo Infinite is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox X/S, and Microsoft Windows.
