But then how do you switch between your brooms? Read on to find out!

How to Switch Brooms in Hogwarts Legacy

How to Switch Brooms in Hogwarts Legacy

You can switch between brooms in Hogwarts Legacy from your equipment screen, just as you would with your outfit or wand. To do that, simply open your gear menu and click on the broom icon on the right side. From there, press Square (PS5), X (Xbox), or F (PC) to shuffle through the style of brooms you own. However, When attempting to switch brooms, you may notice an X over the icon. There are a couple of reasons for that.

The first reason is if you are currently riding your broom. You can’t switch between your brooms while riding them, you have to be dismounted to do so. The second reason is that you haven’t progressed far enough in the story. While you do unlock the first basic broom and the ability to use it after completing Flying Class, you still can’t switch to the other styles of brooms you’ve bought just yet. That’s because the option to switch brooms unlocks after completing the first race.

The feature is a little unusual, considering you have unlocked the broom and the ability to use it. This causes many eager wizards and witches to go out and buy a stylish broom, only to quickly be disappointed by the fact they can’t equip it. However, the simple solution is that you must be dismounted from your broom and/or have completed the first race in order to switch brooms.
