Cats are known to be gamers’ best friends. Mostly because no other furry companion would gladly spend the day with us seated in front of a computer screen. Nonetheless, that’s why many Hogwarts Legacy players are attempting to locate and capture Kneazles in the game. Despite the fact that these magical beasts are much larger and more ferocious versions of the felines we know, we still want one for ourselves. Luckily, that’s a possibility. Keep reading to find where you can find these not-so-cuddly critters.
Where to Find Kneazles in Hogwarts Legacy
You can find Kneazles in Hogwarts Legacy via the paw print icon on your world map. These symbols represent Kneazle dens, and there are several of them scattered throughout the map. They can be hard to spot, so we’ll help point you in the right direction.
You can find all the paw print locations south of Hogwarts. The closest icon is southeast of Hogwarts, in Hogwarts Valley. The other three can be found at Marunweem Lake, in the NE corner of Cragcroftshire, and at the very bottom of the map, south of Clagmar Coast.
Now that you know where to find Kneazles, it’s time to head to a den and get one for yourself. Each den has three to four Kneazles in it. If you want to catch one, you’ll have to be sneaky and prepared since Kneazles are quite skittish. So, to begin, use the Disillusionment spell to slip in undetected. Once you have one in your sights, use Levioso spell to suspend it. Or, you can use the Arresto Momentum spell to slow and get close to one. If you don’t, they’ll flee or, worse, attack you.
Once you’ve got control of or are close enough to one, you need to use a Nab-Sack to capture them. Now that you have a Kneazle in your Nab-Sack, you’ll want to take it back to the Vivarium in your Room of Requirement to tame it. Once tamed, you can use Kneazles for fur material and gear upgrades. Not to mention, you’ll have a furry friend to hang with while you’re crafting potions.
