How to Airwalk in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2

Tony Hawk Pro Skater Airwalk

Now that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is out on modern platforms many players are grinding and manualing for the first time in decades. As such, they may not quite remember how to do a few of the moves. One trick that is especially useful in the early game is the Airwalk. The Airwalk trick is worth a fair few points making it a worthwhile trick to memorize.

How to Perform an Airwalk on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC

The Airwalk isn’t a particularly difficult trick to pull off and for the number of points it is worth, it’s a good one to keep in mind while going for combos. To perform an Airwalk in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, follow the instructions below.

  • Xbox One: Hold B, Press Down and Right on the D-Pad/Stick at the same time, Release B
  • PlayStation 4: Hold Circle, Press Down and Right on the D-Pad/Stick at the same time, Release Circle
  • PC: Hold the Right Arrow key, Press the D and S keys, Release the Right Arrow key

Furthermore, the Airwalk trick is essential for completing two different objectives in the game. Firstly, there’s the ‘’Airwalk the flying leap gap’’ objective in the Mall map from the first game requires that requires the use of the move. Additionally, the ‘’Airwalk the Hydrophobic gap’’ in the Downhill jam map, also a map in the first game, requires players to use the move making it essential for any players who wish to complete the challenges.

Anyone familiar with the world of Skateboarding has likely seen the Airwalk trick performed before. It is a trick in which skaters grab the front end of their board while in the air, while splaying their legs out as though they were walking in the air, thus ‘Airwalk.’

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a remake of the original game that was released in the early 2000s and has had a cult-like following since its release. The remake was released on September 4, 2020 and introduces tricks from other Tony Hawk games as well as the ability to create-a-skater and create-a-park. Additionally, the remake has an online mode that will allow players to skate with friends and has a split-screen option for local co-op play.
