Humankind made a big console announcement during the Summer Game Fest. The turn-based strategy game will release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on November 4th. It is also a Day One Game Pass title for Xbox consoles. The game is currently available on Game Pass for PC.

One console missing in that announcement is the Nintendo Switch. However, an ERSB listing indicates that Nintendo’s console will indeed see a release for Humankind.

Nintendo tends to enjoy announcing Switch releases during their own Nintendo Direct videos and that is most likely the case here.

Originally released for Windows and Stadia in 2021, Humankind is a turn-based strategy game. Players are tasked with not conquering the world but building fame for their civilization.

The Summer Game Fest also saw the announcement of DLC. The Cultures of Latin America update for Humankind adds the following:

  • Six new cultures (Caralans, Nazca, Taíno, Inca, Argentinians & Cubans).
  • Six new natural and built wonders
  • Nine independent people
  • 15 narrative events
  • Over 30 in-game-themed music tracks.

The console release of Humankind will include the Culture of Latin America update, as well as other DLC releases in the “Heritage Edition.” For $59.99, the Heritage Edition consists of the base game, Cultures of Africa Pack, Cultures of Latin America Pack, and Notre-Dame Pack. The base game, without DLC, will cost $49.99.

The Cultures of Africa Pack includes the following:

  • Six new cultures (Bantu, Garamantes, Swahili, Maasai, Ethiopians, and Nigerians)
  • Five new wonders
  • Seven Independent Peoples
  • 15 Narrative Events
  • 18 in-game themed music tracks

The Notre-Dame Pack gives you the following:

  • Victor Hugo Avatar Set
  • Notre-Dame Wonder
  • Notre-Dame Narrative Events
  • Inspirational Avatar Personality

At the time of reporting, there is no announced Nintendo Direct in the near future. Don’t be shocked if we see one appear soon and Humankind makes an appearance.
