Phasmophobia Ghost Orbs | How to Find

Ghost Orbs

Sometimes, seeing can be as useful as believing. No game supports that as well as Phasmophobia. In this co-op horror game, you play as a bunch of paranormal researchers, with all of the gear that you see in ghost hunting shows. So, one of the ways to find the ghostly presences is sudden, unexpected light. Ghost Orbs are these small motes of light that appear in a room. They are pretty sure signs that a ghost is in there… But how do you find them?

How to Find Ghost Orbs in Phasmophobia

Ghost Orbs

In order to find ghost orbs, you have to really focus. These are randomly spawning creations that appear sometimes when a ghost is in a room. Make sure you’re looking through a camera, either in or out of the room, to locate these. If you see a small light, floating around the area, that means a ghost usually swings by there, specifically, a Phantom, Jinn, Mare, Shade, or Yurei.

Ghost orbs are not a sign that the ghost is necessarily in the same room as you though. They are simply a sign that the presence is somewhere in the building… likely nearby. These can spawn even when the presence drops all subtlety and starts rushing you.

Since these are simple particles floating through the air, it could be seen as merely a trick of the light. Rest assured, it is, but it’s a trick you should really consider! The team at Kinetic Games has done a good job with their lighting engine, so assume that the ghost is somewhat nearby. And if it’s in hunting mode… might be a good idea to retreat!

Phasmophobia is a new VR indie-game on Steam. In it, up to four players explore a haunted house with a suite of tools to read frequencies. Luckily – or unfortunately – they do find a haunted house… and the ghosts inside are not happy about it. They must rely on their tools and wits to discover evidence about the ghosts and escape the house with their lives.
