Red Dead Redemption 2 Elephant Rifle | How to Get

Several new features and items are being added to Red Dead Online as part of the newest expansion. These recent additions include a new Naturalist Role, a new Outlaw past, new rewards, and a powerful new Elephant Rifle. This guide will explain how to unlock the RDR2 Elephant Rifle as well as how to unlock the Naturalist role and Outlaw Pass 3.

How to get the Elephant Rifle in Red Dead Redemption 2

To unlock the RDR2 Elephant Rifle, you simply need to head to the nearest gun store. Once there, you can find the Elephant Rifle in the catalog on the front desk. However, if you don’t want to travel all the way to a gun store, you can simply press down on the D-pad (consoles) or hold down J (on PC) to open a catalog that will let you buy whatever you want from your current location.

Once you’re in the catalog, you will need to spend either $580 or 24 Gold bars to purchase the Elephant Rifle. Fortunately, that’s all you will need to do. Open the catalog, spend a bit of cash, and the Elephant Rifle will be yours.

How to Get the Improved Bow, Naturalist Role, and Outlaw Pass 3 in Red Dead Redemption 2

Now let’s go over the other stuff that got added with this new update, starting with the Improved Bow. Like the Elephant Rifle, the improved bow is a new weapon that was just added to the game and can be found in the catalog or at gun stores.

The Improved Bow will cost you $275 or 11 Gold Bars, and we recommend going with the money option, since gold bars are a pain to grind. Besides, you will need them more for the other stuff that got added in this update. Take for instance the new Naturalist Role and the new Outlaw Pass — unlike the new weapons, these can only be purchased with gold bars.

The Naturalist Role costs 25 gold bars, and the Outlaw Pass 3 costs 40 gold bars. That means you will need 65 gold bars to purchase both. Due to the cost, we highly recommend players to focus on getting the pass first. It will help you unlock the Naturalist Role later, since you will be able to earn up to 40 gold bars and other rewards.

Speaking of rewards: When you buy the pass, you will be able to unlock a bunch of new rewards, a few of which we’ve listed below. If you want to find out more about the rewards and what you can unlock, you can find out under the Benefits tab in the main menu in-game.

  • 15% Role XP Boost.
  • New Weapon Cosmetics.
  • New Outfits and more.
  • Poses and new filters for the advanced camera.
  • Gold and money rewards.

How to become a Naturalist

Once you get the outlaw pass and earn enough gold bars, you may wonder how to become a Naturalist. Well, it is simple. First you need to spend 25 gold bars, then you will need to head to the Strawberry welcome center. Once you are there, you need to find a lady called Harriett Davenport. She will explain how to become a Naturalist.

That’s everything you need to know on how to unlock the RDR2 Elephant Rifle and other new rewards. We hope our guide answered any questions you may have had. Before you go, be sure to check out some of our other guides for Red Dead Redemption 2:
