Fans are reliving the glory and horror of one of Capcom’s most iconic entries in the franchise thanks to the Resident Evil 4 remake. And, while it’s scratching our itch for nostalgia, some of the original game’s puzzles continue to stump us more than a decade later. Such as the church light puzzle. Although this is the exact same puzzle from the original game, it doesn’t solve the same way. So, read on to find out the solution!
How to Solve the Church Light Puzzle in Resident Evil 4
To solve the church Light puzzle in Resident Evil 4, you need to rotate the colored pains of glass so they line up with the symbol in the middle. However, you won’t be able to do this properly until you have the blue dial. You can find that by going right as soon as you enter the church, and then left down the side passage. At the end will be a cabinet you can open, which will have the blue dial inside. Once you have the blue dial, make your way back to the stand located beneath the stained glass.
There will be a lever to the left of the stand; pull it to reveal two dials (red and green). Simply place the blue dial on the left one that’s missing it. Now you’re all set to solve the church light puzzle. To do so, rotate each of the colored dials so they line up with the church insignia in the middle. You solve the puzzle once you’ve pieced the picture back together. Obviously, this is easier said than done.
To make solving this puzzle the easiest, use the insignia in the middle as your reference point. Then, choose one pane from one of the three colored pieces of glass, and rotate the color until your piece fits in line with the symbol. The easiest to start with is green, as a lot of green panes fit in around the insignia. Once you’ve got the green locked into place, the blue and red panes should come pretty easily. It may take a bit of trial and error, but that’s all there is to solve the church light puzzle in the Resident Evil 4 remake!
