Rogue Legacy 2 Aether’s Wings | How to Get

Rogue Legacy 2 Aethers Wings - How to Get

Traversing the cartoon world of Rogue Legacy 2 is a focus of the gameplay loop – and having the Aether’s Wings is a huge help. This heirloom gives you permanent access to the double jump ability, one of the most useful in the entire game. It helps you clear obstacles, hop over enemies, and leap over gaps you’d otherwise fall down. Frankly, it should be one of your first stops. Here’s where to find the Aether’s Wings and unlock the double jump in Rogue Legacy 2.

How to Get Aether’s Wings in Rogue Legacy 2

How to Get Aether's Wings in Rogue Legacy 2

To get the Aether’s Wings in Rogue Legacy 2, head to the Kerguelen Plateau. Go as far to the right as you can, following east in any passages, and you’ll eventually come across a vast body of water. You’ll need to cross this water using the Echo’s Boots to find the challenge room where the double jump ability is unlocked.

Sadly, the game isn’t generous to simply give you the Aether’s Wings. Instead, you’ll need to put in some work. Play until you’re comfortable enough to explore the Kerguelen Plateau. On the far eastern end, your passage will be blocked by water. Naturally, you need to find a way across this water. It may not be immediately clear how to get across, as there are no visible means of traversal. However, there’s actually a very simple method to get across.

Rogue Legacy 2 - spin kick across lake

You can cross the water by using Echo’s Boots, an item you gain through its own heirloom. This grants you the Spin Kick ability, which is what you used to reach the Kergulen Plateau in the first place. Look closely, and you’ll note that the water’s surface pulses like other Spin Kick items. Use the ability to bounce across the water and find the entrance to the challenge area.

Once you’re on the other side, your work is nearly done. Like all other challenge rooms, this is one is based on its own heirloom. Expect plenty of double jumping platforms and a few light enemy encounters. Make your way to the end to reach the marble statue. Take the Aether’s Wings from its hands to unlock the double jump ability. With that in your repertoire, the rest of the platforming segments in Rogue Legacy 2 will be a breeze.
