Super Mario RPG players may always seek out the best possible pieces of armor in the game, though they can always rely on the fancy Super Suit. It’s arguably one of the best in Super Mario RPG, providing powerful bonuses to whomever equips it. And anybody in Mario’s party in the game can don the super jumper whenever they obtain it.

Whether you’re playing through the 1996 original for the SNES or the 2023 remake, the Super Suit in Super Mario RPG is acquired using the same method. However, where can this piece of armor in the game be found? Furthermore, what can it offer Mario and his friends as they venture through Mario’s world?

Where to Find the Super Suit

The Chow in Monstro Town holds the Super Suit in Super Mario RPG. They will give it to Mario only if he performs 100 consecutive Super Jumps on an enemy. The Super Jump is a special move only Mario can achieve, and it’s unlocked once he reaches level 6 in the game. Only then can the players get themselves the special suit. The Chow shares the second home of Monstro Town with a Thwomp, who can inadvertently drop the Temple Key for players if they interact with it.

As a side note, the Chow will give Mario the Attack Scarf after they successfully perform 30 consecutive Super Jumps. Since players can only go up to 100 Super Jumps, only the Attack Scarf and the Super Suit can be unlocked. The scarf is a notable accessory that players should be sure to acquire in Super Mario RPG.

The Super Suit is the only one in the game, so it cannot be replaced. If players aren’t fond of the item or want to make some quick cash, they can sell it for 350 coins. This isn’t exactly ideal, however, since anyone in Mario’s party (Peach, Bowser, Mallow, and Geno) can equip it.

Expert Tip

Doing 100 consecutive Super Jumps as Mario may not be a straightforward approach. That’s why performing the repetitive action on a Spikey enemy is highly recommended. They’re immune to jump attacks, and it’s a more promising route than trying it out in a boss fight.

The Super Suit is a robust jumper jacket with unique effects. Whoever wears it shall be granted a 50-point increase in physical and magical attack and defense stats. Additionally, it gives the character 30 points to add to their speed. For the cautious ones, the super jumper defends its owner against negative status effects and elemental attacks.

That’s all you need to know about obtaining the Super Suit in Super Mario RPG and what it can provide. It’s a piece of armor that shouldn’t be neglected due to its promising boosts in attack and defense. And while you’re out in Monstro Town, you can visit other characters to participate in more activities before moving on to another part of Mario’s world.
