The Last of Us Part 1 will release on September 2 on PS5. Per the leak, gamers can also expect a PC version down the line.

The leak comes from Sony’s own PlayStation Direct site. An eagle-eyed user at ResetEra snagged the listing info before it was removed. A trailer giving an impressive look at the game is still available for viewing

The leaked listing calls the remake “a total overhaul of the original experience, faithfully reproduced but incorporating modernized gameplay, improved controls and expanded accessibility options. Plus, feel immersed with improved effects and enhanced exploration and combat.” Naughty Dog also rebuilt the game for PS5, per the leak.

The game will include both a standard edition and a Firefly Edition. Per the leak, the special edition will include the complete The Last of Us single-player story and prequel chapter, Left Behind, a limited edition SteelBook display case, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics with new cover art; and early in-game unlocks. The standard edition will also include the Left Behind DLC.

We’ve praised The Last of Us for its incredible opening in the past. We’re eagerly awaiting the release of its remake. Both The Last of Us and its sequel are some of the best post apocalyptic games you can play. It also include some of the best zombies in gaming.

We also consider The Last of Us Part 2 to be one of the best third-person shooters of all time. Be sure to keep an eye out for our review of the remake of The Last of Us later this year when the game finally releases.
