Toys for Bob Possible Teasing Something for Gamescom

Toys For Bob Possible Teasing Something for GamesCom

Developer Toys For Bob, best known for their work on the Skylanders franchise and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, is teasing their next game.

Earlier this week, the company’s Twitter account posed a question to its followers: “Let’s play a game… see if you can name every TFB title in order!” An accompanying image listed 18 different titles censored with numbers 1 through 18. The following day, Toys For Bob gave the answers.

Before you ask, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remastered was originally developed by Vicarious Visions. Toys For Bob only handled the Nintendo Switch port. This means that their 18th game is an unannounced, unreleased title.

This week is the GamesCom convention in Cologne, Germany. On Tuesday, Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live will feature announcements, premieres, and more akin to E3 press conferences.

Hmmm…

+ More you say, Geoff? Opening Night Live will run for two hours, meaning there’s plenty of time for surprise announcements, such as that teased Toys for Bob game. The developer mentioned last year that they are working on Season 3 of Call of Duty Warzone. However, it seems out of character for the studio to tease a Warzone announcement. That’s something that Activision themselves would handle.

Phil Spencer mentioned that Microsoft would love to revive some of Activision’s old franchises, but the acquisition has not yet been finalized. After the success of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, could we see a new Spyro title?

Based on the comments on our list of the best PS1 games, you’d all be happy about that.

Whatever the announcement is, we’ll report on it, as well as other stories from GamesCom, as it develops.
