One of the best ways for games to be successful upon release is to become a trending topic on Twitter. Sometimes, however, titles can trend for all of the wrong reasons. That is the current reality for Rockstar Games and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. The game has been borderline unplayable for multiple days now and users are now asking the company to refund their money.

Rockstar Games is clearly aware of the issue. A message on the company’s Twitter feed reads, “The Rockstar Games Launcher is now online, but GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is unavailable to play or purchase as we remove files unintentionally included in these versions. We’re sorry for the disruption and hope to have correct ones up soon.”

Still, many impatient players aren’t willing to wait. There are a number of requests for refunds on social media. Rockstar is asking those players who want their money back to submit a ticket on their website.

This isn’t the only issue that Rockstar has been having with Grand Theft Auto this week.

There are also major issues with rain affecting the gameplay in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. A gamer wrote of the title recently, “You can’t even make out what’s really going on here, and it gets worse when you’re close to a body of water. You’ll probably end up crashing into something or someone instead of reaching whatever destination you’re making your way to. It just looks awful!”

While these problems are likely to be fixed soon, it is a terrible look for Rockstar and something that players will not soon forget.
