Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is filled with loads of materials that can be used to craft items that will help players along their journey in Hellhold. One of those items is the color-changing Alexandrite. This stone-like item is just one of many items that Miriam can find along her journey.
However, with such an abundance of items to utilize, it can be difficult to stay informed on what items are stashed specifically in Hellhold. There is only one Alexandrite location in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and this guide will show you exactly where it is located. Where to Find Alexandrite
Alexandrite in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night can be found through the Ice Elemental enemy located in the Glacial Tomb. You’ll reach the Glacial Tomb toward the end of the game as you begin preparing for the final battle. Defeating an Ice Elemental will provide Alexandrite with a 2% rate. Additionally, the frost-based enemy can also drop Diamond and Sapphire at 6% and 12%, respectively.
How to Use Alexandrite
Alexandrite is a color-changing stone that can be used to craft a Coronation Gown and the Pleiades headgear. In addition to crafting items, the stone can also be used to enhance the Sacred Shade and Alchemic Bounty shards.
The Sacred Shade is a Manipulative Shard that increases your stats. The latter, the Alchemic Bounty Passive Shard, is especially unique in aiding Miriam with acquiring new items through the help of Johannes and his crafting skills.
Crafting these items and enhancing these Shards are going to be very beneficial to Miriam. The Shards can be used to enhance combat, movement, and progression. The Sacred Shade shard will temporarily increase your stats and is dropped by the Rul’sha enemy. However, you won’t be able to enhance the shard with the Alexandrite material until you reach Enhancement Levels 7-9.
The Coronation Gown item is a piece of armor that will give Miriam 48 extra Defense points and five points each for the Strength, Cognition, Intelligence, Mind, and Luck stats. It’s capable of resisting lightning, fire, and frost attacks to an extent. Its complete recipe includes the Alexandrite (x1) to go with Cashmere (x1) and Silk Dress (x1).
On the other hand, the Pleiades item is a piece of headgear that will provide Miriam with 15 extra Defense points, with the same points for the gown at 5 for each Strength, Cognition, Intelligence, Mind, and Luck stats. To apply the Alexandrite to the recipe, you’ll also need Diamond (x6) and Orichalcum (x1).
The Alchemic Bounty Shard is dropped by the Zagan enemy. Having this Shard fully enhanced will be a huge benefit to players because it will increase the number of items obtained from crafting. As usual, it can be enhanced three times and cannot be enhanced with Alexandrite until Enhancement Level 7-9.
Expert Tip
Unfortunately, the drop rate of Alexandrite is just 2%, meaning you’re likely going to have to fight a lot of the Ice Elemental enemies before you are able to pick one up. Therefore, consider going into a room with one of them, slaying it, then exiting the room to reset the scene. Going back in there will cause the enemies to respawn, allowing you to spam-kill the Ice Elemental until you receive the material you need.
