There are tons of different skills that players can equip in Borderlands 3 to make combat easier. One of these skills is known as Guerrillas in the Mist is part of FL4K’s Skill Tree. Over time, players have begun to realize how powerful this skill is when combined with the Fade Away skill, but a recent update to the game seems to have nerferd it. Borderlands 3 Guerrillas in the Mist | Did the skill get nerfed?
FL4K is one of the many playable characters in Borderlands 3. One of his three Skill Trees is called as Stalker. This is the second of three Skill Trees that can be equipped with FL4k. If you want to use the Guerrillas in the Mist skill, you’ll need to have the Stalker skill line equipped.

Players have found that they can combine the Borderlands 3 Guerrillas in the Mist and Fade Away skills for a pretty deadly combo. When these two skills are combined, it essentially allows the Fade Away skill to last a little bit longer.
If you’re unfamiliar with Fade Away, it lets FL4K turn invisible and fire three shots, each which do critical damage. Without the Guerrillas in the Mist skill unlocked, Fade Away will end after the three shots, making players visible again. However, with it unlocked, Fade Away will continue on after FL4K attacks for a few more seconds. As you can probably tell, this will offer players a huge bonus advantage.
However, in a recent update Gearbox made some changes to how the Borderlands 3 Guerrillas in the Mist skill works. In fact, there were two main changes made to the skill, both fairly impactful. For starters, the skill will now only last six seconds, as opposed to eight. However, the real kicker comes in the next part of the nerf. Since the update went live, the Guerrillas in the Mist critical damage has been cut in half, being reduced from 50% to 25%.
Unfortunately, these nerfs are likely going to have a big impact on any players using the Borderlands 3Â Guerrillas in the Mist and Fade Away combo. In fact, it may be time to look for a new set of skills.
