There are a lot of entries in the Fire Emblem series. And, while every game retains its tactical RPG persona, every title introduces new mechanics that shake up the gameplay from its predecessors. One of the new features in the latest game, Fire Emblem Engage is the co-op Relay Trial mode, which allows two players to take on the game’s combat together. However, in order to play this game mode you’ll need to get your hands on relay tickets. If you’re unsure how to do that, keep reading to find out how to get them.
How to Get Relay Tickets in Fire Emblem Engage
You can get relay tickets in Fire Emblem Engage for free by visiting the Somniel once every 24 hours. However, you will only get one every full rotation around the clock, which sort of acts as a motivator to log in and play the game every day. So, while you are out questing and leveling friendships, don’t forget to stop by the Somniel and claim your free daily reward. As it’s quite easy to forget about it when you’re knee-deep in the game’s story.
How to Use Relay Tickets
You can only redeem your relay tickets at the Tower of Trials in Somniel. You unlock this tower once you complete Chapter 6 and can find it in the most southern end of Somniel. A dead giveaway is that there’s a long windy path directly south on your mini-map in the region; this leads right to it. You can also play the Tempest Trial and Outrealm Trial from this tower and neither requires relay tickets. The only one that doe’s is the Relay Trial mode.
In Relay Trial mode, you team up with another player with the goal of completing a map together. One player will start the trial, taking a few turns controlling units before passing them off to the next. This is a great way to learn new game strategies from other players and a fun way to mix up the game’s strategic turn-based combat.
