S2 – Mosler MT900S
The Mosler MT900S is one of the best cars in the S2 class for two key reasons: tuning and handling. This rear-wheel drive speed demon boasts a 9.8 handling score and an 8.4 braking score. That’s hard to find with the other high-powered cars of the S2 class.
So you’re already getting the best traction of any car in its class to start, and if you tune it right, you can also get it to top out at the fastest speeds. As a result, it delivers in two of the most important areas. Evidently why you see many players using it in street and drag races. However, you might want to think twice before taking it into off-road races.
S1 – Jaguar Sport XJR-15
The Jaguar Sport XJR-15 looks, performs, and feels like the younger sibling of the Mosler MT900S. It’s one of the best cars in the S1 class for the same reason. It’s got great speed and handling, but doesn’t shine all that well in off-road races. Nonetheless, it’s a beast on the streets, especially if you tune it properly.

The Hot Wheels Bone Shaker has been a staple throughout the Forza Series, appearing in Forza Horizon 3, 4, and now 5 as part of each game’s Hot Wheels expansion. And no, we aren’t claiming it’s one of the best cars in the A class because of how it looks, though its style alone is reason enough. But even better, it’s got the performance to back it.
In fact, the Bone Shaker was actually banned in Forza Horizon 4 online races for being too overpowered. Funny enough, it’s still extremely dominant in Forza Horizon 5, whether that’s street, drag, or off-road races. So, if you want to fly past the competition in style, the Bone Shaker is your best bet.
B – Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe
The B class is a bit of a jungle when it comes to the best cars. There isn’t a clear-cut winner. With that said, there is one that outperforms all others in terms of speed, and that’s the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. It has a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h). So, if you’re looking for speed, here’s your undisputed winner.
The Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe’s biggest downfall is its handling. However, with the right tune, you can make it very manageable. Still, it may take some time before you get used to its kick.
Aside from that, if you want the high-end horsepower of the Shelby Daytona, you’re going to have to drop top-dollar for it. It costs a whopping 30,000,000 CR to be precise, or if you’re lucky for cheaper through the Auction House, though it’ll most likely be more.
C – Mini John Cooper Works (2009)
It may come as a surprise to some, but of all the cars in the C class, the Mini John Cooper Works (2009) takes the podium spot as the best. It has the top overall performance in the C class, whereas the other cars in its class excel in certain areas but fall short in others. This not only makes it a solid pick, but the clear best choice for the C class.
What’s more, you can tune and upgrade this mini-beast to get a lot more out of it of it. As a result, it’s a competitive beast on both the street and dirt. But the best part of all is that it only costs 25,000 CR. That’s a breath of fresh air coming off from purchasing the Shelby Daytona.
D – Ford Super Duty F-450 DRW Platinum
The D class is made up of some of the least luxurious cars in the game. However, that can make them pretty fun to drive in races. Nonetheless, in the D class, most players take their races to the dirt, as it’s just fitting with the amusement of the class. And, being that Forza Horizon 5 is set in Mexico, the Ford Super Duty F-450 DRW Platinum just makes sense.
It is by far one of the best cars in the D class for tackling the diverse Mexican-themed terrain. Furthermore, with the appropriate tune, you can get some incredible launch power out of this heavy-duty truck. Just don’t expect to much from it when it comes to turns and speeding down long stretches in street races.
X – 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition
Though the X class is the fastest of all, even faster than the S2 class, we’ve saved it for last because it isn’t a competitive online class. Nonetheless, the 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition is the way to go if you’re going to tweak any of your cars for the X class. We’ll also add it’s a beast in the S2 class and another viable option alongside the Mosler MT900S.
