Forza Horizon Hot Wheels DLC | How to Return to Mexico

Forza Horizon Hot Wheels DLC - How to Return to Mexico

The classic toy orange tracks have made their way to Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels DLC. Much like how Forza Horizon 3 rode with its Hot Wheels collaboration, the map changes. In this case, we’re driving amongst the clouds as opposed to the previous entry’s take on city-level action. Therefore, we’re far away from the ground, so some players might be stuck high above Mexico when playing the Hot Wheels DLC. Not to worry, there are actually a couple of ways to return to the ground, and we’ll show you how.

How to Return to Mexico in Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC

You can return to Mexico by either driving toward the “Mexico!” icon on the map, or by accessing the menu. The first option goes as such: drive to the far southwest of the Horizon Hot Wheels Park map, near The Ice Cauldron. “Mexico!” will appear on your map. Simply drive to the spot, and the game will prompt you to go back to Mexico. The other option doesn’t involve driving, however: go to the Campaign tab in your menu then select to return to Mexico. From there, the screen will fade to black before bringing up the views of land once again.

That’s all you need to do if you want to get back to the ground. Additionally, you can easily switch between the maps with the menu. If you can recall from the Hot Wheels Expedition, Haley will bring you to the gigantic Hot Wheels Launcher. It’s where you’re blasted into the sky via a super-powered slingshot, and where Raimi flies in with a jet. That whole sequence is merely a one-time experience, so don’t expect to be launched into the Horizon Hot Wheels Park anytime soon. The sequence replicates the core game’s opening where you parachute out of the sky and into Mexico.

And with this in mind, if you’re itching to hit the tracks again, you won’t have to go far. As aforementioned, you can switch between maps. In Mexico-to-Hot Wheels Park’s case, go to the Hot Wheels tab in your menu where you’ll be able to return to the skies. Maybe the developers will implement the launcher sometime in the future. But in the meantime, we might be lucky with a few creative tracks from other players in the game.
