While Gamescom is winding down in Cologne, Germany, the announcements are still coming in strong. Frozen Hearth, a DLC expansion for Nobody Saves the World, was announced via IGN.

Originally released on Xbox and PC before coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation, Nobody Saves the World is a clever action RPG. The game’s unique job/class system helps to keep gameplay fresh and exciting as you venture through the world. In our review, we said the following:

“Nobody Saves the World is an enjoyable action RPG from indie developer Drinkbox Studios with an incredible combat and class system. It doesn’t always hit its stride, but when it does, there are few games out there that can compare.”

Frozen Hearth, the game’s upcoming DLC expansion, will add several new features to the game. New jobs/classes/transitional forms include the Killer Bee and Mechanic.

The Tempering will also be a new region for players to explore in Frozen Hearth. It is described as where “the strongest warriors compete for glory in The Tempering, a series of puzzles and challenges that will push players’ transformation skills and creativity.”

“When we shipped the original game, there were so many ideas we had to leave on the cutting room floor, and this DLC gave us a chance to bring some of them to life,” lead designer Ian Campbell told IGN. “We had a blast creating even more forms, as well as puzzles and challenges that make the most of the game’s mix-and-match customization!”

Frozen Hearth will cost $4.99 and be released on September 13th on all platforms where Nobody Saves the World is available. This includes Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. There is currently no word if it will be available on Xbox Game Pass.
