Plus, if you’re building a Quantum-based team, she is an important addition if you’re looking to pack a punch.

Hence, if you’re curious as to what her character abilities are, who to pair her up with, and how to build her, read on. We’ve got all the juicy details, packed with information you would need to know.

What to Expect From Honkai Star Rail Fu Xuan?

Fu Xuan is a 5-star Preservation character currently featured on the 1.3 Character Event Warp Banner. Her abilities are based on the Quantum element, and her kit makes her a superb tank and support for your tank. She is comparable to Gepard, but where Gepard focuses on shields and tanks, she focuses on buffing her team and tanks. She also has minor healing abilities.

You will have met her character if you’ve played through the game and reached the Xianzhou Luofu. She is the Master Diviner and one of the Six Charioteers who plays an important role in the Xianzhou Luofu’s Divination Commission.

Basic Attack: Novaburst

Fu Xuan deals Quantum damage equal to 25% of her max HP to a single enemy.

Skill: Known by Stars, Shown by Hearts

This activates the Matrix of Prescience, where other team members will distribute 65% of the damage they receive to Fu Xuan for 3 turns. Shields previously mitigate the damage.

Under the Matrix of Prescience, all allies gain the Knowledge effect that increases their max HP by 3% of Fu Xuan’s max HP as well as increases their CRIT rate by 6%. This effect will end when Fu Xuan is knocked down.

Ultimate: Woes of Many Morphed to One

Fu Xuan’s Ultimate allows her to deal Quantum damage equal to 60% of her max HP to all enemies. She obtains 1 trigger count for the HP Restore effect given by her Talent.

Talent: Bleak Breeds Bliss

While Fu Xuan is active in battle and not knocked down, Misfortune Avoidance is applied to the entire team. This causes allies to take 10% less damage. When Fu Xuan’s HP falls to 50% and below that of her max HP, this will trigger HP Restore.

HP Restore will restore her HP by 80% of the amount of HP she is currently missing. This effect has 1 trigger count, max 2 trigger counts. It cannot be activated if Fu Xuan is downed.

Technique: Of Fortune Comes Fate

After her Technique is used, all allies will receive a 20-second Barrier that blocks all enemy attacks and prevents the tea from entering battle, even when attacked. Entering battle while the Barrier is active will activate the Matrix of Prescience automatically at the beginning of the battle. This lasts for 2 turns.

Honkai Star Rail Fu Xuan Light Cones

She Already Shut Her Eyes

This is Fu Xuan’s Signature Light Cone, currently attainable through the Light Cone Event Warp Banner. This Light Cone increases its wearer’s max HP by 24% and Energy Regeneration rate by 12%. When its wearer’s HP is reduced, all allies’ damage increases by 9.0% for 2 turns. At the beginning of every wave, this Light Cone restores HP to all allies by 80% of their respective lost HP.

Naturally, this is the Light Cone that we would recommend as it suits her kit very well. It increases her max HP and Energy Regeneration as well as buffs her allies’ attacks. The HP restoration at the beginning of each wave could even allow you to go without a healer if you’re bold enough.

Texture of Memories

An alternative Light Cone that is easier to get through Herta’s Store, Texture of Memories increases its wearer’s Effect Resistance by 8%. If its wearer is attacked and has no shield, this Light Cone will give them a shield equal to 16% of their max HP for 2 turns. However, this can only be triggered once every 3 turns. If the wearer has a shield when attacked, the damage received will decrease by 12%.

This Light Cone’s shield and damage reduction allows your Fu Xuan to be tankier and last longer in battle. If you superimpose this to the max, the Effect Resistance goes up to 16%, and they will get a shield equal to 32% of their max HP. Either that or the damage received decreases by 24%. Hence, be sure to superimpose it to get the most out of your character and Light Cone.

Landau’s Choice

As for a 4-star option, Landau’s Choice, obtainable through the Warp Banners, is a decent option. This Light Cone ensures that your character will be more likely targeted/attacked, but any damage taken will be reduced by 16%. At max superimposition, it gets reduced to 24%.

This makes your Fu Xuan tankier and grants better protection for your team as she gets the bulk of the attacks/damage. Furthermore, it has decent base stats for a 4-star Light Cone.

Eidolon Level 1: Dominus Pacis

Fu Xuan’s Knowledge effect helps to increase CRIT damage by 30%.

Eidolon Level 2: Optimus Felix

While Matrix of Prescience is active, any team member hit with a killing blow will not be defeated and 70% of their max HP will be restored. This effect can trigger 1 time per battle.

Eidolon Level 3: Apex Nexus

Skill level +2, max level 15, and Talent level +2, max level 15.

Eidolon Level 4: Fortuna Stellaris

Allies that get attacked under the Matrix of Prescience allow Fu Xuan to regenerate 5 Energy.

Eidolon Level 5: Arbiter Primus

Ultimate level +2, max level 15, and Basic Attack level +1, max level 10.

Eidolon Level 6: Omnia Vita

When Matrix of Prescience is activated, it keeps a tally of the total HP lost by all members in battle. Fu Xuan’s Ultimate damage will increase by 200% of the HP lost. This tally is capped at 120% of Fu Xuan’s max HP. It will reset and reaccumulate after she uses her Ultimate.

4-piece set: when its wearer is hit, or their HP is consumed by an ally or themselves, their CRIT Rate increases by 8% for 2 turns, stackable up to 2 times.

This relic is a reward for completing Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Elixir Seekers in the Alchemy Commission of the Xianzhou Luofu. 40 Trailblaze Power is required for each run.

You can use a mix of Guard of Wuthering Snow and Longevous Disciple which will make Fu Xuan tankier. This combo allows her to take more damage without dying. Either that or equip their respective 4-piece sets.

Planar Ornaments

Broken Keel

2-piece set: increases its wearer’s Effect Resistance by 10%. When its wearer’s Effect Resistance is 30% and above, all allies’ CRIT damage increases by 10%.

This is Fu Xuan’s best option as it increases your party’s CRIT damage based on Fu Xuan’s Effect RES, which is attainable when you unlock her Traces. It can be found as a reward in Simulated Universe World 7 which will cost you 1 Immersifier or 40 Trailblaze Power.

Fleet of The Ageless

2-piece set: increases its wearer’s HP by 12%, and when its wearer’s speed reaches 120 and above, all allies’ attacks increase by 8%.

A good alternative if you don’t have Broken Keel at the moment, as it increases Fu Xuan’s HP and buffs the entire team’s attack. However, make sure that she has 120 SPD if you want this to work. This Planar Ornament can be found as part of the rewards in World 3 of the Simulated Universe. It requires 1 Immersifier or 40 Trailblaze Power to obtain.

Team Compositions

Quantum Team: Seele, Silver Wolf, Lynx

If you’re aiming for an all-Quantum team, Fu Xuan is a great addition to fill up the tank or support role. Her kit allows her to heal her teammates and deal significant damage of her own. She can be on the offense and defense for her team.

Silver Wolf provides the best Support, especially when coming up against enemies with Quantum weaknesses. Seele is one of the best DPS characters out there, and with this team, she can focus on dealing more damage. Lynx is the only Quantum healer and is capable of removing negative effects as well as restoring HP. Lynx can be obtained from the same banner as Fu Xuan!

F2P Team: Dan Heng, Asta, Yukong

For free-to-play players, Dan Heng, Asta, and Yukong would make a great team with Fu Xuan. Dan Heng would be your DPS, while Asta and Yukong could be your supports and enhance your team’s speed and CRIT buffs. Fu Xuan will help to decrease the damage taken by your team and increase Dan Heng’s chances of slowing your enemies as well. This is great for F2P players as Asta and Yukong are free characters obtained from playing the game’s missions and events, while Dan Heng is a free character you get from the start.

And that’s Honkai Star Rail’s Fu Xuan character guide! May this guide be insightful to you and help you on your journey to build her for your team.
