May Xbox Game Pass Additions Include Danganronpa 2, This War of Mine

Another month means another batch of new Xbox Game Pass additions. The May Xbox Game Pass lineup is here, and with it comes seven new games.

Available starting today with the May Xbox Game Pass update is Loot River for Cloud, Console, and PC. It is part of the ID@Xbox program and a day one Game Pass release. Loot River is a dungeon-crawling action roguelike. It allows players to explore procedurally generated mazes, searching for loot and glory.

On May 5th, Trek to Yomi will become available for Cloud, Console, and PC. It, too, is part of the ID@Xbox program and a day one Game Pass release. Trek to Yomi is a cinematic action-adventure following the story of Hiroki. Players will follow as he attempts to redeem himself and save the people he once swore to protect.

Citizen Sleeper is another ID@Xbox game for Cloud, Console, and PC, releasing May 5th as a day one Game Pass title. It is heavily inspired by tabletop RPGs and allows players to live the life of an escaped worker at the end of an interstellar society.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition is available with the May Xbox Game Pass update. It releases on the 10th for Cloud, Console, and PC. The popular franchise features a group of high school students trapped by Monokuma, a bear/machine/thing that forces the students to kill themselves and defend their innocence on trial.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is another day one Game Pass title when it launches on May 10th for Cloud, Console, and PC. It is the prequel to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which will launch in 2023. The franchise comes from Yoshitaka Murayama (Suikoden I&II) and Junko Kawano (Suikoden I&IV).

This War of Mine: Final Cut is the remastered version of the 2014 release from 11 bit Studios. The war game is played from the point of view of a civilian instead of a soldier. It releases May 10th for Cloud, Console, and PC.

NHL 22 for consoles is available through EA Play on May 12th.

In addition to these game releases, the May Xbox Game Pass update will also feature DLC select games. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will see the Dynasties of India DLC. Halo Infinite Long Wolves: Season 2 launches later today. Stellaris 3.0 Update and Nemesis Expansion are also available today.
