Stardew Valley - How to Remove Bushes

You’ll spend a lot of your time on the farm in Stardew Valley. Farming crops and generally living the farm life is the foundation of the game. However, if you’re looking to make the most out of your farm, you’re going to want to use every inch of it. Problem is, there are a lot of obstacles in the way. Grass, trees, rocks, and even bushes. The others are easy enough to get rid of, but how do you remove the bushes from your farm?

How to Remove Bushes in Stardew Valley

To remove bushes in Stardew Valley, simply hit them with your axe. They should go down with a few hits. However, some bushes are mightier than others. While one bush can be taken down with a swing of an axe, that same axe might not make a dent in another. If that’s the case, you’re going to need to upgrade the axe. You’ll need to upgrade your axe a few times before you can clear all bushes and hardwood from your farm.

If you’re aiming to upgrade your ax, you can do that by going to the blacksmith. For example, the copper upgrade for the ax will cost you five copper bars and 2000 gold. It’s expensive, but it’s going to make removing bushes easier, and less taxing on your energy. It also helps make chopping wood, including hardwood, a much faster process.

Once you have sizeable space on your farm, it’s a good idea to start planting food, which will in turn fund the upgrading of your tools. Growing produce and working on the farm is one of the main ways to make money. Sprinklers are also a good option when it comes to watering your plants. Once you complete your town, you should be able to increase your tools further when you make it to Ginger island and its Volcano forge.
