Stardew Valley Mermaid's Pendant - How to Get

Stardew Valley does a good job making you love the people living in town. You can build relationships with most of them, and, if they’re a willing bachelor or bachelorette, you can even get married! The Mermaid’s Pendant is the diamond ring for the lucky lad or lady. However, it is not in a jewelry store. You’re going to have to work quite hard to find this thing. But, you’d do anything to be with the one you love, right?

How to Get the Mermaid’s Pendant in Stardew Valley

How to Get the Mermaid's Pendant in Stardew Valley

The Mermaid’s Pendant in Stardew Valley can be found on the beach, past the 300 wood Bridge, on rainy days. You must purchase it from the Old Mariner for 5,000g. This item is only available if the player is not married, though they can purchase as many as they’d like while they are engaged. However, in order to purchase it, the player must have a 10-heart friendship level with an eligible partner and have completed the first farmhouse upgrade.

The Old Mariner spawns on rainy days during any season, though good luck getting rain during Winter! He spawns to the left of the wooden bridge that you need to repair. He’s only active during 6am to 7pm as well. Be sure to go to him early on a rainy day if marriage is your priority!

He will only have the Mermaid’s Pendant in your inventory if you’re right on the cusp of marrying someone. That means you must have given them a bouquet when they were at 8 hearts, and they are attracted to you. Sadly, not all NPCs will love all PCs.

You also must have gotten the first Farmhouse upgrade. This gives your farm multiple rooms, costs 50,000g and 150 Hardwood, and also comes with a few minor renovations. As long as your farmhouse is ready for kids, you can get married!

Marriage is a hard task, especially since so many villagers have so many specific needs! We have guides for a bunch of them, though! So, if you want to make a bachelor or bachelorette happy, you can check our site for the guides!
