The Land of Hyrule in the Zelda sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, is a vast landscape full of adventure and mysteries. As a result, it will take a long time to explore, uncover, and see everything the game’s massive-open world has to offer. Nonetheless, one area players are eager to venture off to is Hateno Village. However, its whereabouts are far from your starting point in Central Hyrule. So, keep reading to learn where to find Hateno Village in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Reach Hateno Village
Hateno Village is located in the southeastern part of Hyrule, more specifically, in the Lanayru region. The exact coordinates to the village’s entrance are 3279, -2141, 0101. Although that gives you its precise location, it does not make getting to the bustling town any easier, since you’ll have to cross lakes, rivers, and mountain ranges to get there.
The best way to reach Hateno Village in Tears of the Kingdom is to start from Lookout Landing Skyview Tower located in Central Hyrule. From here, you’ll want to glide from Skyview Tower directly southeast to Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower in the West Necluda Region. You can walk, but you’ll cover some considerable distance gliding from one tower to the other. You also can’t forget about the beautiful views that come with it.
Just past Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower sits Lake Siela and Kakariko Bridge, which you can glide directly to. When you reach Kakariko Bridge, head south across it, and once on the other side, take the first left heading east. Simply follow this path all the way east (staying left the entire time and avoiding any right turns) until you reach Hateno Village.
To summarize the journey, begin at Lookout Landing Skyview Tower and then proceed to Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower. Locate Lake Siela and the Kakariko Bridge just southeast of the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower waypoint. Head southward, down and across Kakariko Bridge. Then, just after crossing the bridge, take the first left as soon as the path appears. Now just follow this path all the way to Hateno Village. It also goes without saying, but expect to come across a lot of enemies and characters on your journey.
What’s In Hateno Village?
One of the biggest attractions in Hateno Village is Kochi’s Dye Shop. Here you can change the color of your Armor and swap between paraglider designs. In addition, there is also a general store, an armor shop, and a couple of shrines.
Aside from that, there are plenty of characters to meet and quests to embark on in this village. One of the most prominent revolves around a woman named Cee and the town’s mayor, Reede. They’re bashing heads about the future direction of Hateno Village, and you can get involved in the mix if you feel up for it. We do recommend you do it because this questline rewards you with the Cece Hat. So, if you’re planning on sticking around, you might as well capitalize on the new headgear while you’re in town.
Nonetheless, if you want a less politically charged quest, Hateno Village is full of other secrets and sidequests. So, be sure to spend time talking to the locals and exploring everything the town has to offer.
