Valhalla‘s Zealot mechanic introduces world bosses all over the place. One such Zealot can be found right in Grantebridgescire — Eorforwine. This burnt fighter is one of the more aggressive enemies… And her flavor text has already brought some ableist concerns. Despite this, she is still available to be fought, and is no easy win! How to Beat Eorforwine in AC Valhalla
In order to beat Eorforwine, get to level 90 and head to the center of the area, northeast of the actual word “Grantebridgescire” on the map. Around there, Eorforwine is waiting for you, so you can fight her whenever you’d like. Then, you can fight her like any other Fanatic, but there are a few mechanics specific to her that you can keep in mind.
If you can, try and learn the Raven Skill Missile Reversal. This defensive skill allows you to reflect projectiles back at your attacker by timing a left bumper press right before it hits you. This is critical because Eorforwine throws devastating javelins, and throwing them back at her can tip the battle into your favor.
To start the fight, ping her down with a few arrows. This lowers her total stamina and can make the fight a little easier. Once she’s in melee range, she starts using unblockables. If you can time dodges correctly, you can avoid taking too much damage and take her on in melee.
However, much easier is to back up and use Missile Reversal whenever it’s ready. It deals massive damage to her, and knocks her down, giving you your chance to breathe. She also has a pretty long cooldown after swinging her weapon, so if you’re feeling risky, you can take 3-4 swings (depending on your weapon) before having to play defensive once again.
The Toxic Bombs deal okay damage, as long as you can keep Eorforwine in place for long enough for the damage to really tick her down. You can throw toxic bombs just like you can throw back spears, but the spears tend to be more dangerous.
When she starts drinking, you can use arrows to lower her stamina, try to melee to damage race, or use a skill (like the Dog Summon) to knock her down. Hopefully, you have some of those tools before taking on Zealots!
