Whether you’re wanting to have your friends join the brawl, or wanting to fight groups with each other, co-op is important in Elden Ring. Playing with your friends can be a great time! However, if you want to play with a group, things might get complicated. How many friends can join the same lobby in Elden Ring? And is there a way to boost those numbers?
How Many Players Can Join Co-Op in Elden Ring?
You can have up to three friends join your co-op game in Elden Ring at once. First, you’ll need to use a Furlcalling Finger Remedy to summon your buddy, while making sure your passwords are synced. Then, you’ll be able to summon your friends three more times! As long as you’re alive, your friends will be able to explore the world, and they can even die without you losing any progress.
This number of friends cannot be increased by any means, as of the release of Elden Ring. However, these friend groups are not supposed to do anything other than a dungeon area, up to a boss. The friends will receive a big dump of runes, while the host will finish the dungeon. Win-win!
In large groups of friends, you will have to rotate around your summoning. That’s okay, since only one person needs to spend resources to summon everyone else. You will use the Tarnished’s Furled Finger, otherwise.
If you’re having trouble using the Finger, or seeing signs, make sure that everyone is around the Effigies that allow multiplayer content. Everyone needs to put their signs down and be summoned before you can continue your quest. Otherwise, you won’t be able to see signs!
These effigies are commonly at the beginning of dungeons or at the Lost Grace before a boss is encountered. So now, you and your friends can swarm a boss! This can make things easier and harder, depending on the boss. It can certainly make Margit easier! Do remember that your friends won’t have access to the same items that you pick up, like Smithing Stones.
