After a year since its release, Elden Ring DLC is finally on the way. FromSoftware announced that a post-launch update, titled Shadow of the Edrtree, is being developed.
Details are scarce at this time outside of an official blog post.
“As with the main story,” it reads, “we plan to distribute it on PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 5 / Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S / Steam. The follow-up report is still a little ahead, but I would appreciate it if you could look forward to it. We look forward to your continued support of Elden Ring.”
The Elden Ring DLC comes as the main game has won more Game of the Year awards than any other title in gaming history. The open world souls-like from developer FromSoftware has won over fans and critics across the globe.
In our review, we were just as enamored as everyone else. “Elden Ring is a masterfully crafted experience,” we said, “from gameplay to exploration to music, that doesn’t pander to the clichés of modern open-world games. This is a rare gem.”
