Final Fantasy 14 Firebird Mount | How to Get

Final Fantasy 14 Firebird Mount

Final Fantasy 14 is a game all about style. Glamours are essentially the endgame, and there are plenty of challenges awaiting players who wish to look great. Mounts are perhaps the system that take the most effort. If you want some of the rarest mounts in the MMO, you’re going to need to work for them. If you’re interested in the Final Fantasy 14 Firebird mount, it is far from impossible to acquire. But, you’re going to have to work pretty hard to get it.

How to Get the Firebird Mount in Final Fantasy 14

Final Fantasy 14 Firebird Mount

In order to unlock the Firebird mount in Final Fantasy 14, you will first need to collect all of the Lanner mounts in the game. The Lanner mounts come from the Extreme trials of all Heavensward fights. So, you’ll have to complete the level 60 trials and get the mounts from each of them. Then, you can complete the quest “Fiery Wings, Fiery Hearts” in Idyllshire to earn the Firebird.

You’ll need to complete the following fights, and roll the mount whistle, if you want to ride upon the Firebird.

  • Containment Bay Z1T9 (Extreme)
  • Containment Bay P1T6 (Extreme)
  • The Minstrel’s Ballad: Nidhogg’s Rage
  • Containment Bay S1T7 (Extreme)
  • The Minstrel’s Ballad: Thordan’s Reign
  • Thok ast Thok (Extreme)
  • The Limitless Blue (Extreme)

At level 90, most of these trials can be completed by a single or pair of characters.

Once you have completed all of these trials, you’ll still need the mounts from each of them to proceed. Thankfully, if you get very unlucky, you can trade parts from each fight for the mount. Once you have 99 of each Totem from each extreme boss, you can trade them to Bertana in Idyllshire to get your mounts. These are in the Uncanny Knickknacks section of her menus.

If you get to the point that you have all of the Lanners, then… First of all, congratulations! Second, head to Idyllshire and look for “Fiery Wings, Fiery Hearts.” It should be a Level 1 quest that is extremely close to the town’s Aethercrystal. That guy will give you your Firebird Whistle, which you can use to summon the mount.
