Star Wars Squadrons has finally arrived and has players from all over are flying through the air in their starfighers. If you’re preparing to check out Fleet Battles, one of two multiplayer modes, you may be having a little bit of trouble figuring out how to destroy a Star Destroyer in the training mission — it is a big ship after all. In this guide, we will break down how to go about blowing up the ship.
Star Wars Squadrons Star Destroyer | How to Destroy
In short, to destroy a Star Destroyer in Star Wars Squadrons, you’ll need to take down all of the missile launchers, shield generators, tractor beams, and more to deplete its health. Eventually, you’ll be able to drain all of its HP and the ship will be destroyed.
However, the Fleet Battles training mission that forces players to destroy a Star Destroyer is currently bugged, according to developers. “We have become aware of and are actively working to address a bug that may prevent you from completing the Fleet Battles Tutorial if your starfighter is destroyed at certain points during the exercise,” said the developers on Reddit. So if you’ve come across this bug, you’ll need to restart the mission and try again.
Luckily, it is possible to destroy the ship if you don’t encounter the error, but if your game gets bugged your only option is to restart it. Currently, it’s unclear exactly what is causing the Star Destroyer bug, but it seems to have to do with your starfighter getting destroyed during the mission. Luckily, developers are aware of the issue already so a fix should be in the works.
So if you can’t seem to destroy the Star Destroyer in the Fleet Battles tutorial, just hang in there, help is on the way! In the meantime, be sure to check out some of our other Star Wars Squadrons guides that are listed below.
