The latest Nintendo Direct Indie World is here, and we’re recapping the latest and greatest in the world of indies coming to Nintendo Switch. 

Little Kitty, Big City

Little Kitty, Big City is everyone’s dream come true: playing a cute, cuddly cat as you explore a big city. You’re lost, attempting to return home, while encountering other animals requiring your aid. Oh, and instead of petting the cat, you receive the pets this time. Little Kitty, Big City will be available for Nintendo Switch on May 9th. 

Yars Rising

From the creators of River City Girls comes Yars Rising, releasing in 2024.

The debut trailer showcases gameplay reminiscent of old-school Metroidvania, featuring side-scrolling action and exploration. 

Refind Self: The Personality Test Game

The narrative adventure allows players to build their personalities based on their actions throughout the game. You can also share and compare personality types with other players. The game also displays a gorgeous, retro-inspired pixel visual asthetic.

Refind Self is a timed console exclusive for Nintendo Switch and launches later this Summer.

Sticky Business

Cozy games are all the rage, and what says cozy like running your sticker shop? Design your stickers, fulfill customer orders, and grow your business. Sticky Business and its DLC are available later today as a timed console exclusive for Nintendo Switch.

Antonblast

A throwback to old-school Game Boy Advance games, Antonblast is headed to Nintendo Switch. We loved our time with the game at PAX East and can’t wait to play more this November.

Valley Peaks

A first-person adventure takes us to Valley Peaks, explore the mountains, and prepare the region for visitors to enjoy. There are also locals to interact with and complete side quests. 

Valley Peaks is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. 

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes

Old-school mystery adventures are in style, and Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is another intriguing entry into the genre that features non-linear progressions. While the Nintendo Direct was light on concrete details, it looks to deliver an old-school PlayStation 1 vibe that we’re all about.

A gorgeous journey of self-discovery, Europa represents the best of what indie games offer.

We’re excited to dive in later this year. 

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate

In what’s described as their “first roguelike adventure,” the turtles are back, hot off the success of Shredder’s Revenge. The game even offers drop in and out local co-op and is a timed console exclusive for Nintendo Switch. 

Cat Quest III

The popular Cat Quest series is back with a pirate theme. Players can battle, set sail on their own ship, and even enjoy local co-op. Cat Quest III will be available on August 8th.

A puzzle-based game where players, pun intended, stitch together hoops. The visual style combines a realistic background while still delivering a warm, inviting vibe that’s bright and colorful. 

The game will be available later today as a console exclusive for Nintendo Switch.

SteamWorld Heist II

We return to the world of, well, SteamWorld. The turn-based tactical shooter brings a world map for players to explore in the sequel to 2019’s SteamWorld Heist. 

It launches for Nintendo Switch on August 8th.
