Terraria Wormhole Potion - How to Use

Fighting bosses in Terraria is difficult, but doing it with friends makes it a lot easier. However, someone’s bound to die, especially if it’s your first fight. And if the boss is very far away when that happens, you’re going to want to jump back into the action ASAP. That’s where Wormhole Potions come in. If you don’t know how to use this potion for teleportation, we can help.

How to Use Wormhole Potion in Terraria

The Wormhole Potion in Terraria is very useful, as it allows you to teleport to any member of your team in the game world once. Using the potion is very simple. Open the fullscreen map, (M on Keyboard, Start on PC Controller, Select on PlayStation, Back on Xbox, and Minus on Switch). Once you have the map opened, find the friend you want to teleport to, and tap on their face.

The only prerequisite for this to work is that the Wormhole Potion must be in your inventory, and that you and the player you’re attempting to teleport to must be on the same team. The icons for teams are on the top right of the screen near the armor, they’re the color icon underneath the swords. Once both of you are on the same team, the potion will be fully functional.

If you’re looking to get your hands on one, Wormhole Potions are a bonus drop from Slimes. But, they’re only active while you’re in a multiplayer game. However, you can craft them at an Alchemy Table, or a Placed Bottle with a Bottle of Water, a Blinkroot, and a Specular Fish.

As for what the potion is best used for, it’s perfect for fighting the many bosses in Terraria. If you and a friend are fighting a boss and one of you dies, coming back into the fight will be a breeze with the Wormhole Potion. It’s especially useful for fighting bosses that lie on the farthest regions of the map, like Duke Fishron. The potion is a one time use only, though, so be wary as you use them. You wouldn’t want to be caught at spawn without a way back into the fight!
