Phasmophobia is a four-player online co-op horror game that requires players to investigate paranormal activity and hunt down ghosts. But what happens when you die in the game? Phasmophobia | What to do When Dead
Unfortunately, there is nothing players can do when they die in Phasmophobia. When you die you will become a ghost in the game. This allows you to still move around, but if you’re using the in-game chat, there is no way to communicate with your teammates even though you can hear them as they scream in terror.
With that said, if you want to still communicate with your team after you’ve died, you can use a third-party chat room like Discord. This will allow you to stay in touch with your team beyond the grave. It’s up to you and your team to decide what to do when dead.
It has been speculated that the developers, Kinetic Games, are adding a feature for dead players so that they will have something to do or a way to communicate with their living team mates in the future. But only time will tell if they will add something to make it more entertaining when you die or if they will just leave it how it is.
Since the game is currently in Early Access, there is still plenty of time for developers to add this feature.
