Grounded Silk Rope | How to Get

Grounded Silk Rope

A recent Grounded update has added a new Spinning Wheel item that will allow players to turn Web Fibers into Silk Rope. While the process may sound easy, there are a couple of different steps that you’re going to need to follow if you want to get started making your own silky material.

How to Get Silk Rope in Grounded

To get Silk Rope in Grounded, you’re going to need to craft a Spinning Wheel and place Web Fibers into it. Doing so will turn the fibers into ropes that can be used to craft a variety of different items like Ziplines, Insect Bow, Marksman’s Cap, Shoulder Guard, and more. To make the Spinning Wheel, you’re going to need to collect the following materials:

  • Acorn Top (2)
  • Clay (4)
  • Ant Part (4)
  • Sap (3)
  • Crude Rope (4)

Thankfully, these materials are too hard to get and can be found rather easily. Perhaps the most difficult will be the four Ant Parts, which will require you to visit an ant hill and take down one of the insects. Acron Tops can be found at the big oak tree and Sap and Clay can be found on sticks and in the dirt, respectively. Lastly, the Crude Rope recipe can be learned from analyzing Plant Fibers and will require three of them to make.

Once you’ve gathered all of these materials, you should be able to craft the Spinning Wheel. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, you can do so by analyzing an Acorn Top. With the wheel ready to go, you’ll simply need to interact with it and place Web Fibers inside to get Silk Rope. If you’re running low on Web Fibers, you’ll need to kill spiders.

It’s also worth noting that in addition to making Silk Rope, the spinner is also able to craft three pieces of Crude Rope out of one Grass Fiber. With these new materials, you should be able to craft some really cool items! For more on Grounded, be sure to check out the guides listed below:
