Gamers have been itching to play the 17th installment of the Battlefield series, titled 2042, for a long time. This Friday, those players who purchased the Gold or Ultimate version of the game will get their chance. Everyone else is going to have to wait until the following Friday.
The first season of the game, however, will not be debuting until 2022. While players wait, they will be able to play the game within the preseason.
Developer DICE will also be adding a battle pass and a new specialist.
